Many forms of breathwork therapy exist today. Each has its own unique methods of using breath for healing purposes. It draws from Eastern practices like yoga and Tai Chi while incorporating Western psychotherapy techniques. To bring about self-awareness, breathwork can include elements of talk therapy, breathing exercises, art, music, and bodywork. This therapy can be used with individuals, couples, and groups..

The goal of any breathwork therapy is to support people in achieving a greater sense of self-awareness and capacity for self-healing. It also helps people work toward overall improvement in mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. As a Breathwork Guide, I will help you along with our class session participants learn  various therapeutic breathing techniques.

Breathwork therapy is practiced to benefit people experiencing issues such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Chronic pain
  • Anger issues
  • Depression
  • Trauma and posttraumatic stress (PTSD)
  • Grief and loss
  • Emotional effects of physical illness
Breathwork is a process. One breath at a time, one session at a time, you will gain skill and insight to open your mind and body, beginning with breathing posture and exercises that teach you to manipulate your breathing rate and depth with the goal of bringing awareness to your breath and ultimately providing the same benefits you might get from a meditative practice.
These Self Love Sunday Breathwork Sessions will help you recognize our own self-worth, connect with who you are and learn the gift of knowing “I Am Enough”. We will begin changing our emotions, by guiding our thoughts, taking positive steps towards a new way of thinking.
